The objective of this game is to score 21 points or not to exceed this number, but always exceeding the dealer’s value to win the bet. Cards from 2 to 10 are worth their natural value; J, Q and K are also worth 10 and the ace is worth 1 or 11 at the player’s convenience.

The following is a step-by-step description of a game of BlackJack

• At the start of each game the player must bet.
• The dealer will deal two cards face up to each player and one to himself, also visible to the players.
• Each player decides whether to ask for more cards or to stand with the two cards already dealt.
• The dealer then plays his hand.
• Players who are further away from 21 than the dealer, or who have exceeded this value, lose.
• Players who have the same value as the dealer get their bet back but do not lose or win.
• Players who draw BlackJack (ace plus 10 or figure) are paid 3×2 and those who beat the dealer are paid 1×1 according to the bet they have placed.

Remember!

Each player may take the following actions during the game:

• Draw: each person may draw as many cards as they wish if their game does not exceed 21 points. If the player exceeds 21 points, the dealer will remove the cards and take the bet.
• Stand: A player may stand whenever he/she chooses to stand.
• Fold: A player may double his bet. This can be done at the start of the player’s turn, after the initial cards have been dealt. Note that the bet must be of the same value as the initial bet. Note that the player in this case will receive one more card.
• Split: If you receive two initial cards of the same value (10, J, Q or K) from the dealer, you can split the cards into separate hands. When doing so, the second hand must have the same bet as the first hand. Note that each hand is played independently.
